Songbird is a beautiful love story and a fast paced adventure tale. I have called it a fantasy but it is also a paranormal since much of the basis of the story revolves around the Songbird's magic and the magic of her people, and it has the feel of a medieval historical novel. Collenn Helme always gives us the unexpected and Songbird it no exception. Bran and Teya make a wonderful couple and I rooted for them every step of the way.I have been a fan of Colleen Helme for some time but this older book is a whole different pace but it is just as good as her Shelby Nichols mysteries.

The characters seemed real and the magic was as I always felt it should be in other books, but never gave as much satisfaction as here. Anyone who loves books with feeling and wonder will enjoy this book.
New favorite author! Best to order all her books, because you will eventually, so best to go on and save yourself shipping / download time.
This was a fantastic book by Colleen Helme! It is quite different from her Shelby Nichols Adventures, but if you like fantasy, you'll love this book!

This was a good read for a lazy day. I don't like it as much as the Shelby Nichols books, but it is well done and firmly ended. The story was unique and interesting.
Well, this isn't really my kind of book...fantasy....and that's the ONLY reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5...The author is as always, incredible, as she can really carry a story and make the characters alive. She never disappoints for sure. A beautiful magical idea and one you probably have never heard of before in fantasy. Would make a great movie. Lots of action, romance, and healing in it.
